It looks like the effect of the increase in Value Added Tax on Luxury Goods (Tax) up to 125 per cent for cars with engine capacities above 3.0 liters makes many luxury car manufacturers play their sales strategy by presenting premium cars that are not affected by the Sales Tax. One of them is Mercedes-Benz. Manufacturing bearing the Three Pointed Star 'is also re-set the strategy to equip their premium cars, the engine capacity of less than 3.0 liters.

Not only that, PT Mercedes-Benz Indonesia (MBI) will multiply the premium variant of those assembled locally (completely knocked down - CKD) in the factory, in Wanaherang, Bogor. One of these is the Mercedes-Benz S400 L Exclusive of this. If the version of the S400 L CBU first slide in the month of June 2014, CKD version slid three months later during the IIMs in September last year.
